Harborne Pool in Birmingham with new Röchling swimming pool grating

Following the construction of the first new build public pool in Birmingham for over 20 years, Röchling Engineering Plastic’s channel grating was selected by the main pool contractor World Leisure of Leyland, Lancashire. Harborne Pool opened in January 2012 and I am sure you agree that it looks very impressive.

The state of the art facility consists of both a 25 metre pool and a learner pool. Birmingham City Council commissioned the pool, the first for over 20 years, following a massive investment to improve facilities for their residents. The pool is managed by the leading Leisure company DC Leisure, another first for Birmingham Council. The centre also features a fitness suite, adult and children’s gymnasiums, meeting rooms and rooms for birthday parties.

Röchling recently acquired it’s new leisure range from Vitrathene Ltd in Southport. The grating is machined at Röchling’s Gloucester base.
